Real Estate Errors and Omissions:
“Errors and Omissions” (E&O) insurance also known as a professional liability insurance is a claims made policy that protects individuals and companies against claims (defense and damages costs) made while acting in a professional capacity on behalf of another party. These mistakes can be but not limited to inadequate work or negligent actions, misrepresentation, violation of good faith and fair dealing and inaccurate advice.
For example, real estate licensees acting on behalf of a client may make a negligent misrepresentation or fail to affirmatively disclose a known material fact and end up being sued. Even if you ultimately prevail, you may still be burdened with the legal defense costs. E&O policies are designed to cover many of these defense costs and the final judgment to a plaintiff, if the licensee doesn’t win the case.
Business Owner’s Policy:
Business Owner’s Policy insurance designed to protect business owners and operators from a wide variety of liability exposures. Exposures could include liability arising from accidents resulting from the insured’s premises or operations, products sold by the insured, operations completed by the insured, and contractual liability.
Worker’s Comp:
Workers’ compensation is insurance paid by companies to provide benefits to employees who become ill or injured on the job. Through this program, workers are provided with benefits and medical care, and employers have the assurance that they will not be sued by the employee.
The cost of workers’ compensation benefits is based on the gross payroll and the number and severity of illnesses and injuries that type of employer experiences.
Garage Liability:
Insurance typically purchased by auto dealerships and repair shops that covers property damage and bodily injury resulting from the operations of an auto garage. It typically does not cover accidents and damage to cars that are brought into the shop, as there is a separate insurance contract for such cases, but it does cover vehicles that are owned by the shop.
